CTI ou UTI? Entenda a diferença fundamental entre as siglas, que tipo de paciente é internado e como funcionam os cuidados intensivos no hospital. As Unidades de Terapia Intensiva (UTI) servem para o acolhimento de pacientes em estado grave. Pacientes com chances de sobrevida, mas que demandam monitoramento constante. A unidade de terapia intensiva (UTI) caracteriza-se como “unidade complexa dotada de sistema de monitorização contínua que admite pacientes potencialmente graves ou com descompensação de um ou mais sistemas orgânicos e que com o suporte e tratamento intensivos tenham possibilidade de se recuperar”. UTI Geral: Essas UTIs são projetadas para tratar uma ampla variedade de condições médicas críticas, como insuficiência respiratória, insuficiência cardíaca, sepse, traumatismo, cirurgias complexas e outras emergências médicas. Estar internado em uma UTI indica que o caso inspira cuidados. O paciente que precisa de uma unidade de tratamento intensivo é aquele que necessita de monitorização constante dos seus sinais vitais, do estado hemodinâmico e da função respiratória.
A Unidade de Terapia Intensiva (UTI) é uma área do hospital destinado aos pacientes com situação de vida mais grave, ou seja, que necessitam de um cuidado mais complexo e sejam monitorizados por 24 horas de forma contínua. UTI é a Unidade de Terapia Intensiva existente nos hospitais e destinada ao acolhimento de pacientes em estado grave com chances de sobrevida, que requerem monitoramento constante (24 horas) e cuidados muito mais complexos que o de outros pacientes.
